Introduction

About Toilet Training

Toilet training can take longer for some children, particularly those with developmental delay, autism or sensory processing differences — and that is okay. Toileting skills are an important part of self-care and daily living skills, and building them supports a child's wider independence at home, at school and in the community. We take a patient, positive approach, building a plan around the child's readiness, routines and sensory needs, and coaching families every step of the way.

Who we support

  • Children who are finding toilet training difficult
  • Children with developmental delay, autism or sensory processing differences
  • Families unsure where or how to start
  • Parents and caregivers wanting a consistent, positive approach

Sessions & duration

An initial consultation typically takes approximately 60–90 minutes, with follow-up sessions of approximately 45–60 minutes. Timing may vary depending on individual needs.

Consistency everywhere

Families, caregivers and educators use the same plan so the child gets the same message in every setting.
