Introduction

About Parent Coaching

Parents and caregivers are the most important people in a child's life — and the ones who put strategies into practice every day. Parent coaching combines parent support, parent training and family guidance into practical, realistic home strategies for the moments that matter: mornings, mealtimes, meltdowns, transitions and everything in between.

Who we support

  • Parents of children with developmental delay or disability
  • Families supporting children with autism or sensory processing differences
  • Carers looking for practical behaviour support strategies
  • Anyone wanting support that continues between therapy sessions

Parent coaching sessions typically run for approximately 45–60 minutes and may vary depending on your family's needs.

How it helps

How this service can help

Strategies that fit real life

Coaching focuses on what actually happens in your home, not an idealised version of it.

Confidence and clarity

Understanding the why behind behaviour makes it easier to respond calmly and consistently.

Better outcomes between sessions

When families carry strategies into everyday life, therapy progress tends to hold and grow.

What to expect

Getting started, step by step

  1. 1. Getting to know your family

A conversation about your child, your routines and the situations you would like support with.

  2. 2. Shared priorities

We agree on the everyday moments to focus on first.

  3. 3. Practical coaching

Sessions with clear, achievable strategies to try at home between appointments.

  4. 4. Review and adjust

We check what is working, troubleshoot what is not, and adjust the approach together.
